Some dinosaur movies want awe. Primitive War wants chaos. That’s a huge part of why the movie is hitting so well on Hulu right now. The Australian indie creature feature takes a very simple pitch — Vietnam War soldiers versus de-extinct dinosaurs — and runs with it as hard as possible. It’s pulpy, bloody, a little unhinged, and clearly built for viewers who like their monster movies rougher around the edges than the Jurassic Park films usually allow.
