The Netflix series marks Aryan Khan's directorial debut, and stars Lakshya Lalwani, Sahher Bambba, Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Mona Singh, Gautami Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, Rajat Bedi, Manish Chaudhari, and others at the centre of the plot. However, now that the show has been released and received amazing reviews from fans and critics alike. The cameos and supporting cast have been grabbing maximum eyeballs, with many being unfamiliar faces. One such is Divik Sharma, who plays Sahher Bambba's onscreen brother, Shaumik Talvar.

But who is Divik Sharma?

As per sources on the internet, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood seems to be Divik's first acting outing. Until now, he's worked on several projects as an assistant. IMDb claims sme of the titles include Pahuna: The Little Visitors, Laila Majnu, Upstarts and Neha Bhasin's music video Chan Mahi.

IMDb's bio for Divik reads: "Divik Sharma has assisted on multiple commercially successful projects under multiple big banner films. He started his career as a filmmaker with Pahuna, a critically acclaimed film directed by Pakhi A. Tyrewala and produced by Priyanka Chopra. Since then, he has worked closely with multiple commercial filmmakers such as Raja Menon, Prem Soni, Udai Pawar under big banners such as Netflix India and Purple Pebble Pictures."

Divik Sharma's Character

Shaumik is the star son who has no concerns about living a pompous life, wasting his superstar father's (Bobby Deol) money, and firing up things in the house for his excitement and pleasure. Whenever he appears on screen, you know he'll bring some tension to the plot. In fact, his character creates enough conflict in the story, which mostly leaves the screenplay on a high note.

Viewers loved to hate Divik Sharma's Shaumik

While netizens have flooded social media praising Divik's performance, many even claimed he was the real villain of The Ba***ds Of Bollywood. A viewer wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Every time this character appeared on screen, I wanted to punch his face so hard. He's the creepiest and most irritating character ever. This is a sign of a great actor."

Another user took another stance, "Everybody is talking about his rude and aggressive behaviour, but nobody is talking about how everyone invaded his privacy.. Walking into his room like it's a public toilet. #TheBadsOfBollywood," they wrote.

Netizens think Shaumik was based on Ahaan Panday

Many netizens stated that the character of Shaumik was probably inspired by Saiyaara fame Ahaan Panday. They believe it is because of the resemblance he bears to the current heartthrob actor, which Aryan used to take a dig at his friend, Ahaan.

A post on Reddit has been doing the rounds, asking users to opine whether they find the Ahaan connection. Fans are matching the traits and looks. A post said, "Feels like he actually played Ahaan Panday in Badsofbollywood"
