Lost was such a cultural phenomenon in the 2000s that, 20 years later, audiences are still searching for a true successor. The likes of Flashforward and Manifest have come and gone, but Lost still stands proudly as a one-of-a-kind TV experience. At its best in seasons 1 and 2, Lost was impossibly moreish. Aired during the days of 20-episode seasons on network TV, viewers were left no choice but to endure week-long gaps between each installment. If Lost aired today, subscribers would undoubtedly be devouring huge chunks at a time.
