Having debuted on PVOD platforms a couple of weeks ago, director James Gunn's Superman film is continuing to generate interest at the box office. The movie has proven to be particularly popular in the domestic marketplace, and has now found a spot for itself on an impressive list. This weekend, Superman overtook the highest-grossing movie of the legendary Clint Eastwood's career to become one of the 10 biggest hits in the history of Warner Bros. It has also become the fifth-biggest film based on a DC Comics character, which is exactly the kind of validation that Gunn would've been looking for as he plans his next moves for the DC Universe.
