Strictly Come Dancing fans have rallied around Vicky Pattison after she posted a slideshow of behind-the-scenes photos from the start of her training on the BBC show.

The Geordie Shore and Ex On the Beach star, 37, is one of 15 celebrities who’ll be taking to the ballroom dance floor in the upcoming series of the BBC show.

But Vicky has already spoken about her anxieties around appearing on Strictly, confessing she has sought help from This Morning’s psychologists Nick and Eva Speakman.

She has now shared a series of snaps from her Strictly journey – including a couple of her already gnarled feet from long days of dance rehearsals.

‘It’s been a WEEK let me tell you lads,’ Vicky wrote in the caption. ‘I’ve laughed, cried and been strictlified (sic).’

She continued: ‘But I already feel like I’ve made friends for life with all my gorgeous dancers, not to mention the pros and the fabulous crew!

‘It certainly is a juggernaut and I’m so honoured to be a part of this years show… even if it means I’ll have no skin at all left on my feet soon.

‘Love you all and thank you for your continued kind and supportive words… they mean so much!!! Not long now.’

In the comments section, Vicky’s followers were quick to share their support and also comment on her painful-looking toe, with a burst blister on the edge.

@gemwheatley wrote: ‘Ohhh this has made me smile so much!!! Apart from the bloody toe of course.’

‘Wow! What a week and ouch that toe!’ commented @theexecutivemenopausecoach as @alannah_rose03 added: ‘So so so excited!! Counting down the days til I get to watch you smash it.’

@princesswilder77 wrote: ‘We shall be voting for you, get those feet massaged and iced.’

@to_tired_to_clare posted beneath the pictures: ‘You’re going to be great. Enjoy it and be your true authentic self and you will go far. It’s not about being the best dancer, it’s about being vulnerable and willing to try something new. Be proud of yourself for showing up despite your anxiety.’

It comes after Vicky said she had returned to therapy and ‘cried for three hours straight’ about appearing on the BBC show.

She told Angela Scanlon’s Get a Grip podcast: ‘It started off like, why I’m so stressed about Strictly. They always find, like, the easy way in. And I wrote down all the reasons why I was doing Strictly.

‘[The Speakmans] wrote my reasons down on a board for me and I sat [looking at it]. It was super illuminating,’ she explained to former Strictly contestant Angela.

‘I want to prove to people that I can do it, and that I’m more than just a reality TV star. And I want to be a TV presenter eventually and I think this is a great step.’

Strictly Come Dancing kicks off on the BBC on September 20.
