Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lordis a bona fide success, landing a perfect critical reception upon its release and dominating the streaming charts. It's not hard to see the inherent draw of Shadow Lord; not only is this a series set in one of the biggest pop culture franchises in history, but it also turns the spotlight on Darth Maul (Sam Witwer), who's arguably one of the most iconic villains that the Star Wars universe has ever produced. Shadow Lord also benefits from being the first Star Wars project to focus on a villain, meaning that it can go places that other Star Wars projects can't. Nowhere is this more evident than in the third episode, "Whispers of the Unknown."
