59 years ago today, Star Trek made its first voyage into living rooms across America when the first episode, "The Man Trap," aired on NBC. The franchise now celebrates Star Trek Day every September 8, and has already begun unveiling its plans for its 60th anniversary in 2026. That includes an all-new animated series, the launch of its latest live-action TV show, and a Starfleet of other exciting attractions for Trek fans old and new.
