Talk of Sony Pictures and Marvel launching the next trailer for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on June 17th looks like they’re going to pan out.
A posting by Sony Pictures’ local Netherlands on their Instagram channel has confirmed that a Global Fan Event will take place next Wednesday. The posting says:
“Join Tom Holland, Zendaya & fellow fans for a special reveal that will be shared worldwide. This event consists of various Spider-Man experiences, photo opportunities, live entertainment, and a surprising finale. You don’t want to miss this!”
Fans in Amsterdam can apply for tickets. It sounds not unlike the film’s teaser trailer that received a similar live event reveal with Tom Holland at the Empire State Building in New York. Also like that teaser, a very poor quality bootleg of the upcoming trailer is online and has been making the rounds.
Meanwhile, The Wrap has confirmed that “Challengers” writer Justin Kuritzkes will receive a writing credit on the film.
Rumors of Kuritzkes’ involvement began last week after Holland made a podcast appearance last week and talked about how ‘Justin’ did rewrites on the film. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who’ve penned the three previous Holland Spidey films, also remain credited.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” opens in cinemas July 31st.
