Sophie Turner’s ‘Tomb Raider’ Series Casting Signals a Bold New Era for Lara Croft

Tomb Raideris finally heading back to television screens, courtesy of Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The role of Lara Croft will also see the return of a familiar face for genre fans, as Sophie Turner will be picking up the legendary treasure hunter's twin handguns. While Turner's been connected to the Tomb Raider show since last year, her casting is now official —and probably a surprise for fans, who were probably expecting someone different to fill the role.
