After several throw-ups from the media report and the LSU authority’s ongoing discussion to extend his contract up to 2025, it became pretty much clear that Tigers’ toast Jay Clark is not going to shift to his former camp, Georgia GymDogs. So amidst GymDogs’ existing coach, Courtney Kupets Carter’s sudden dismissal, Simone Biles’ coach Cecile Canqueteau-Landi has been entrusted with the role. The official report from the University of Georgia has put a final stamp on the news.

As per J Reid Parker, the Director of Athletics of the University of Georgia gymnastics program, Cecile Landi and Ryan Roberts will move to the co-head coaches’ position for the GymDogs. Simone Biles’ gymnastics coach already possesses a bag of experience playing the coaching role for the Alabama and GymDogs squad. The Hall of Famer coach has played her part in the success of the US national gymnastics team.

Cecile and her husband Laurent have been the personal coaches of Simone Biles. Apart from that in the World Champions Centre in Texas, the couple enriched a plethora of gymnasts who later earned big in the color of Stars and Stripes. Alyssa Baumann, Jordan Chiles, Madison Kocian, and Joscelyn Roberson are a few names. Still, the former French gymnast couldn’t hold her emotion after receiving the reins of a team that is famous for their grit at the national level.

“I am thrilled for the opportunity to be the new co-head coach of the GymDogs with Ryan. I am looking forward to work with team soon! I would like to thank Josh Brooks,Stephanie Ransom the entire UGAA staff for this opportunity,” she said in her acknowledgment after receiving the baton. Meanwhile, the World Champions Centre put a congratulatory message for the veteran coach through its X-handle. With that, it has been confirmed that Simone Biles and company are going to have a new coach in the institute soon, in the place of Cecile.
