Director Guillermo del Toro has had a long and successful partnership with Netflix, having done about as much work for the streamer as David Fincher. But because the Mexican filmmaker still makes movies for the big screen from time to time, he isn't perceived as someone who has totally surrendered to streaming. However, despite many of his films being available on Netflix, one of his earliest cult classics isn't going to be accessible for a chunk of subscribers this month. The movie in question is among the 59 titles that are blocked for subscribers to Netflix's ad-supported tier, according to What's on Netflix. This typically happens for rights-related issues, as Netflix isn't allowed to earn advertising revenue from movies belonging to certain studios.
