One of the most beloved actors and comedians from the Tamil industry, Robo Shankar, has passed away at the age of 46 in GEM Hospital, Chennai. The mentioned hospital had issued a statement, emphasizing how critical and serious the issue had been from the start. The statement read, "Robo Shankar was admitted to GEM Hospital, Perungudi, Chennai, on 16th September 2025 in a critical condition with a massive gastrointestinal bleed and multiorgan dysfunction secondary to a complex abdominal condition. He was managed in the critical care unit with intensive medical management." The late actor is getting tributes from colleagues, fans, and leaders across the entire state.

Radhikaa Sarathkumar posted a photo of the late actor and captioned it, "Always keeps everyone happy with his humor and works very hard to keep giving his best. Such a great loss. My prayers to the family and friends to be strong. RIP."

The politician and actor, Thalapathy Vijay, shared a saddening and heartfelt tribute to the man and condolences to the family of the actor. With his sense of humor, he carved a unique place for himself from the small screen to the silver screen. He was a gentleman who mingled with everyone with affection. Soon after, the tributes towards the late entertainer started pouring in. One of the people who paid his tributes was Kamal Hassan. The filmmaker, actor, and politician wrote very poetically, "Robo Shankar 'Robo' is just a pseudonym. In my dictionary, you are a human. Therefore, my younger brother. So, will you just leave me and go? You left; your job is done. My job remains unfinished. You leave tomorrow for us. Therefore, tomorrow is ours."
