Robert Pattinson may have just dropped the strongest hint yet that he and Suki Waterhouse are already married.
Appearing alongsideZendaya at the premiere of their new film The Drama on Tuesday, the notoriously private actor was asked a seemingly harmless question: what’s the biggest secret you’ve ever kept?
His answer was anything but straightforward.
‘It’s the same one that you have,’ he replied, gesturing toward his co-star, and instantly fuelling speculation that both stars could be quietly married.
‘Nothing that comes to mind,’ she said in response with a hint of sarcasm, sidestepping the implication entirely.
Zendaya has faced a wave of rumours about a secret wedding to Tom Holland in recent days.
Earlier this month the American actress’ stylish Law Roach caused a frenzy after casually appearing to confirm she’d married Holland.
Law claimed ‘the wedding has already happened’, telling Access Hollywood at the Actor Awards, ‘You missed it’.
Insisting to a reporter it was ‘very true’, Law kept tight-lipped on any further details but repeated the claim to another outlet.
The couple, both aged 29, first met in 2016 while working together on the film Spider-Man: Homecoming, and soon became an item.
Although they’ve been notoriously private about their relationship in the years since – last year reports emerged they’d become engaged after she wore a diamond ring to the Golden Globes.
While neither of them have publicly revealed if they have in fact tied the knot, this week Zendaya made a joke that has led some to speculate she may have changed her surname to that of her husband’s.
On Saturday, the actress was promoting her new film The Drama, during which production company A24 opened a one-day wedding chapel in Las Vegas for couples, with Haim’s Alana Haim also on hand as a DJ.
During the event Zendaya made a surprise appearance to celebrate one of the couples, posing for photos with the newlyweds before signing their marriage license as a witness.
But while doing so, she made a joke, telling the guests: ‘Last name reveal!’
Although clips shared on social media didn’t zoom in close enough to show what surname she’d written on the document, some have been wondering if her comment suggested she was now going by Holland.
But Pattinson’s cryptic response on the red carpet pointing towards his own secret wedding comes as more of a surprise.
Pattinson and Waterhouse, who were first linked back in 2018, have carefully guarded their private life despite steadily moving through major milestones.
Reports of their engagement surfaced in December 2023, followed just months later by the arrival of their first child, a daughter, in March 2024.
Since then, the question hasn’t been whether they will marry, but whether they already have.

That speculation intensified in early 2025 when Sharon Stone casually referred to Pattinson as Waterhouse’s ‘husband’ during a public appearance at the American Heart Association Red Dress Collection Concert.
The comment went uncorrected, and neither Pattinson nor Waterhouse addressed it publicly.
A source previously told People that marriage was always on the cards: ‘They both want to be married. It’s important for them.’
Now, Pattinson’s latest remark feels like another piece of the puzzle pointing towards the fact that the wedding bells have already rung for the couple – and the world missed it.
