A new trailer for Rick and Morty Season 9 has been released.
Co-created by Dan Harmon, Rick and Morty is a beloved adult animated sci-fi series that first premiered on Adult Swim in 2013. Co-creator Justin Roiland voiced the titular two characters in the first six seasons of the show; however, Adult Swim cut ties with Roiland in 2023 following allegations of domestic violence, abuse, and sexual assault. Ian Cardoni now voices Rick Sanchez, while Harry Belden voices Morty Smith.

What happens in the Rick and Morty Season 9 trailer?
The Rick and Morty Season 9 trailer opens with Rick rudely pulling his grandson out of bed for some new adventures. We then see a montage of clips that involve killer furniture, breakfast drugs, and much, much more.
The official synopsis reads, “Rick and Morty is back, baby! Season Nine is all certified bangers. No AI slop! Just Grade A organic slop, made by real humans with real human traits like back hair and cysts. Please watch, or we’ll have neglected our families for nothing.”
The voice cast of the show further includes Chris Parnell as Jerry Smith, Spencer Grammer as Summer Smith, and Sarah Chalke as Beth Smith.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rick and Morty Season 9 will have ten episodes in total. The show has already been renewed for at least three more seasons. It was also announced last year that a spin-off series is in the works. Titled President Curtis, the show will focus on the titular character, voiced by Keith David, who has been part of the show ever since the second season. A premiere date for that project has not yet been announced.
Rick and Morty Season 9 will premiere on Adult Swim on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
