As he said last week, Brandon Ingram and the Toronto Raptors are peaking at the right time.

Ahead of Toronto’s first-round playoff series with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Ingram was named the Eastern Conference’s player of the week Monday.

The 28-year-old helped lead Toronto to a 3-1 record last week, averaging 25.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game on 57.8 per cent shooting from the field as the team managed to secure the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference and a date with the Cavaliers.

This included a Raptors-best 38-point performance in a crucial win over the Miami Heat on April 7.

The Raptors and Cavs will begin their first-round series Saturday at 1:00 p.m. ET in Cleveland.

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James was named the Western Conference player of the week.
