In case you missed it, a major new PS5 game that’s out on Thursday will be free for some folks. Dying Light: The Beast is a stand-alone game that was originally envisioned as DLC for Dying Light 2: Stay Human. Those who own Dying Light 2’s Ultimate Edition can claim the upcoming title for free when it releases on September 18.
Dying Light 2 Ultimate Edition PS5 game owners will get more than just free copy of Dying Light: The Beast
But wait, there’s more. Since Dying Light: The Beast comes with preorder bonuses, Dying Light 2: Ultimate Edition owners were worried that they’ll be locked out of those since they understandably won’t be preordering a game they’ll get for free. However, that won’t be the case.
All Ultimate Edition owners will also get the Hero of Harran preorder bundle at no extra cost. You don’t have to do anything; the content will automatically become available to you.
But wait, there’s even more than the above! If you only bought Dying Light 2 base game and upgraded to the Ultimate Edition later, you won’t be locked out of Dying Light: The Beast.
Basically, it doesn’t matter when or how you bought or upgraded to the Ultimate Edition; you get the upcoming title at no additional cost.
Enjoy!
