While Prime Video has a lot of great standalone action thriller shows, the streaming service’s new shared universe is one of the best on TV. A shared universe is an ingenious way for TV creators to tell new, original stories while also building on a reliable intellectual property that viewers already know and love. After AMC’s Interview with the Vampire proved a huge success with audiences and critics alike, its creators were able to expand on the Anne Rice adaptation’s Gothic vision with Mayfair Witches and Talamasca: The Secret Order.
