The Boys first premiered back in 2019, and while the show started with a somewhat small audience during its first season, it’s become one of Prime Video’s flagship properties since its debut. Not only has The Boys entered the upper echelon as one of the most popular superhero shows ever, but it’s also become one of the most popular TV shows, period, during the time it's been on the air. The Boys Season 5 just premiered a few weeks ago, and while fans would love to see this story go on for years, creator Eric Kripke has confirmed that it will serve as the final season. Only four episodes are remaining to see how the story is going to end for long-time characters like Billy Butcher (played by Karl Urban) and Homelander (played by Antony Starr).
