Paramount Plus’s new TV and movie releases for September 8-14, 2025, include The Wedding Banquet, Thirst Trap: The Fame. The Fantasy. The Fallout and The Reunion.

September 8, Monday, brings The Wedding Banquet to Paramount Plus. Andrew Ahn directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with James Schamus. The story follows Min, who becomes frustrated with his commitment-phobic boyfriend Chris. The lingering frustration prompts the former to propose a green card marriage with their friend Angela in exchange for the latter’s partner Lily’s expensive in vitro fertilization treatments. Unfortunately, Chris and Min’s elopement plans are altered after the latter’s grandmother surprises them with a lavish Korean wedding banquet.

Next, on September 9, subscribers can tune in to Paramount Plus to check out Thirst Trap: The Fame. The Fantasy. The Fallout. This is a documentary chronicling the overnight fame of 21-year-old William White, who gained attention for a lip-synching video he shared on TikTok. He sparked a “thirst trap” obsession with fans, which eventually snowballed into a toxic and messy situation where they turned against him.

Finally, September 12 sees The Reunion Season 1 arrive on Paramount Plus. This gripping drama series originally aired on BBC One in April. Created by William Mager and starring Matthew Gurney, the story follows Daniel Brennan, a deaf man who, upon being released from prison, finds himself ostracized by his friends and family. Brennan subsequently embarks on a quest to get answers for his imprisonment. However, his quest becomes complicated when he reunites with his estranged daughter Carly.

Also dropping on Paramount Plus this week is the film Personal Shopper.

Personal Shopper is a drama-thriller starring Kristen Stewart. The story follows Maureen — a personal shopper for a media celebrity — who, after arriving in Paris, gets contacted by a mysterious person via text message.
