One of the last text messages Charlie Kirk sent before he was assassinated has been revealed on his radio show hosted by Vice President JD Vance.
Vance on The Charlie Kirk Show, speaking from the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in the White House on Monday, opened by saying that ‘left-wing extremism’ was ‘part of the reason’ that Kirk was shot dead last week.
The first guest on the show, White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Steven Miller, said the last message that Kirk sent him the day before he was killed was ‘we need to have an organized strategy to go after left-wing organisations that are promoting violence in this country’.
Miller vowed, ‘I will write those words on my heart and I will carry them out.’

He added that he is feeling ‘incredible sadness and this incredible anger’ over Kirk’s death and explained how he would channel it in Kirk’s memory.
‘We are going to channel all of the anger that we have to uproot and dismantle these terrorist networks. It is a vast domestic terror movement,’ Miller said.
‘And with God as my witness, we are going to use every resource we have to the DOJ, DHS, and throughout this government to identify, disrupt, dismantle, and destroy these networks.
‘It will happen and we will do it in Charlie’s name.’

After President Donald Trump won the 2024 election, Kirk was in the campaign of the transition office every day for several months volunteering his time, Miller said.
‘Charlie would send me message all the time just saying, you know, great work or here’s a new idea or here’s what I think will take this to the next level, and I took them all to heart,’ he said, and then started choking up.
‘And God, I just loved the man so much.’
