One of the greatest filmmakers in cinema history, Martin Scorsese is the man behind some of the best films to ever hit the big screen. From Goodfellas to 1973's Mean Streets, Scorsese's touch is Midas-like when it comes to awards gold. One of his most successful projects at the Academy was The Departed, the 2006 gangster drama that featured a stacked cast headlined by Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon, and also included the likes of Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, and Alec Baldwin.
