A new report has officially confirmed that Nicolas Cage will star in and produce a brand-new film set in the world of Longlegs: the smash-hit supernatural crime thriller that shattered records for independent horror films thanks to a wildly successful viral marketing campaign. The film served as the breakout horror hit for director Osgood Perkins, who is also confirmed to be writing, producing, and directing the newest chapter of the Longlegs saga, officially making it a new horror franchise. Additionally, Paramount has picked up the rights to the upcoming chapter and is expected to distribute the terrifying new installment.
