A new vampire comedy from the creators behind one of CBS‘ biggest supernatural hits is ready to rise from development. The series proves that even after 500 years, some relationships still face challenges.

Eternally Yours gets a series order at CBS

CBS has ordered the single-camera vampire comedy Eternally Yours to series for its 2026-27 schedule (via Deadline).

The show stars Ed Weeks and Allegra Edwards and is being made by Ghosts showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman alongside CBS Studios. The network revealed the pickup on Thursday ahead of unveiling its full schedule next week.

Eternally Yours follows Charles and Liz, a vampire couple whose romance has stalled after 500 years of marriage. Living in present-day Seattle with their coven, their lives change when their daughter’s human boyfriend enters the picture. The series explores whether their love can survive eternity or become a life sentence.

The show was envisioned as a supposed companion piece to Ghosts on the CBS schedule. Both series share a supernatural theme and film in the same Montreal location under the same showrunners. Trent O’Donnell directed and executive-produced the pilot, as he also did for Ghosts.

Helen J. Shen, Jaren Lewison, and Parker Young also feature in the series. Further, Shylo Molina, Rose Abdoo, and Tristan Michael Brown appear as series regulars. Both the showrunners serve as executive producers with Kim Tannenbaum, Eric Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang.

Eternally Yours joins returning half-hour series Ghosts and Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage on the comedy slate. CBS will air three comedies next season, down from four this season. The project spent two years in priority development at CBS Studios before moving forward.

The network greenlit a development room in August 2024, with a pilot order arriving the following July. Sources indicated the pilot impressed during network screenings last week.
