The series brings Darth Maul out of the shadows and back into Star Wars animation, where he’s used to terrorizing Jedi in popular shows like The Clone Wars and Rebels. The first two episodes of Maul: Shadow Lord arrived on Disney+ just this morning, and fans around the world are already raving about the show and anxious for more episodes. The demand for Maul: Shadow Lord is so high that Disney has already renewed the show for Season 2. This came after producer Athena Yvette Portillo told Collider that Season 2 would depend on how fans responded to the show.
