The Canadian province of Alberta has introduced a sweeping new policy that could dramatically reshape what students can access in schools, including manga like Berserk. Under the direction of Education Minister Demetrios Nicolaides, school libraries and classrooms are required to remove materials containing explicit visual depictions of sexual acts. The order, which applies to all grades from Kindergarten through Grade 12, goes into effect on January 6, 2026.
