New Honkai: Nexus Anima Aspect Exploration Project Beta Test Recruitment Opens

We’re seeing new details about Honkai: Nexus Anima, as HoYoVerse shared art for some characters and a hotel alongside details about a new, confidential beta test called the Aspect Exploration Project. Said test was first teased in February 2026. Some of the information about the new insights is vague at the moment, with only initial art teased. However, the survey is live for those who want to be considered for that long-term test. 

The Honkai: Nexus Anima Aspect Exploration Project is going to be a different type of confidential closed beta. HoYoVerse repeatedly emphasized that it will be a “small scale” test and will require participants to sign and adhere to an NDA. There’s no set end for it, and the company didn’t announce when it will start. It will also be possible to potentially join even after that initial period, as HoYoVerse will keep the registration survey open. That will change as time goes by. The company also noted it will email people in “batches.” Someone will need to be 18 to take part and use a PC and either Android or iOS devices. Data after it will not be saved, forcing someone to start fresh. 

In terms of new content, we got to see three locations and images of four characters. All of it involves concept art and not final. So it’s possible these could look different in the final game. The spots include a Pedestrian Street with shops in an urban area, a Fleming Tower futuristic office complex and building, and an elegant Kakatini Grand Hotel. The names of the four characters weren’t revealed, but one looks a lot like Carole Pepper from Honkai Impact 3rd all grown up. Which makes sense, as we’ve seen people like Blade from Honkai: Star Rail also appear in this game.
