Although it's been a lengthy wait for the many new projects under the Avatar: The Last Airbender umbrella to arrive, things are about to start hitting hard and fast as summer begins. Leading the pack in less than three weeks is Season 2 of Netflix's live-action remake, which will send Aang (Gordon Cormier) and his friends to the Earth Kingdom to find the young Avatar a master to teach him how to manipulate the very ground beneath his feet. Then, one month later, the franchise will expand its gaming footprint with Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, a hand-drawn 1v1 fighter for all modern consoles, minus the Nintendo Switch 2, that'll feature a roster of 12 playable characters from both Avatar series, with more arriving throughout its life cycle. Finally, in October, The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender will finally arrive, albeit on Paramount+ instead of theaters as initially planned.
