Although Netflix’s longest-running sci-fi series set out to make fun of the Star Trek franchise’s worst adherents, the anthology show ended up ironically making a pretty perfect dupe for the legendary sci-fi series itself in the process. The Star Trek franchise has been through countless reinventions over the years, from the transition between The Original Series and The Next Generation to the most recent set of Star Trek shows from the last decade.
