A movie expected to attract more viewers in the coming months is not currently available to all Netflix subscribers. It is among the 59 titles that are blocked this month for subscribers to Netflix's ad-supported tier. This is done mainly because the streamer can't monetize certain titles through ads. The movie in question was highly controversial upon release a couple of years ago, not only because of its dark subject matter. It was the venue for a widely publicized fallout between its star-producer and star-director. The two have been locked in a legal battle for over a year and are now headed for trial.
