NEON’s First Video Game Horror Adaptation Is Quietly Winning at the Box Office

While The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Project Hail Mary retained their respective rankings at the domestic box office this weekend, a couple of surprise results deserve some attention. The Drama, the hotly debated dark comedy starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, hit the $30 million mark at the domestic box office and became one of A24's top-grossing films of all time. It also hit the $65 million mark worldwide and is poised to pass the coveted $100 million milestone by the end of its run. The bigger surprise, however, was the debut performance of a critically acclaimed horror movie that found a spot on the domestic top 10 list despite a limited release.
