There are some movies that are wrapped in so much whimsy and enchantment that you almost feel guilty when you’re not completely smitten by their sincere charm. Unfortunately, Yaniv Raz’s Eternal Return is that movie. On paper, the Naomi Scottand Kit Harington-led romance about love, grief, and rediscovering wonder has just about everything needed to sweep you off your feet. Following Scott’s character as a young woman needing to choose between the past she lost and the future she never saw coming, the first stretch of the film suggests so much promise. But then it quickly fades.
