Mike McDaniel Announces Good News & Bad News For Dolphins Just Before Colts Clash

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel has a mixed bag of updates as they gear up for their first regular-season matchup. Let’s start with the positive updates first. As the Sunday clash against the Colts approaches, star WR Tyreek Hill and RB De’Von Achane are all set to take the field after their recent injury scares. But the bad news hits the offense with an injury update to TE Darren Waller.

Waller had been recovering from a hip strain but has been hit with a setback, throwing his return timeline in question. Coach McDaniel noted that he won’t be suiting up for the Colts matchup at least, but still remains eager to take the field eventually. “It means he’s being challenged,” McDaniel noted in a presser. “The most eager player to play has another challenge, so I know he’s up for it, but I don’t think he’s going to play this week.”
