In the decades since the release of It’s a Wonderful Life in 1946, there have been countless fantasy-driven films that took inspiration from the seminal Frank Capra picture. The concept of an average person experiencing a life-altering event has been explored in various comedies, including Adam Sandler’s Click, as well as darker takes on the premise, such as Ashton Kutcher’s The Butterfly Effect. But among the Wonderful Life-inspired films that tried and fell short of modernizing the tale was a Disney-produced ‘90s film called Mr. Destiny.
