Although it has some underrated strengths, Secret Invasion was ultimately one of Marvel Studios’ more disappointing television projects and even more than two years after its release some of its problems, as well as a more general one facing the studio as a whole, are again being highlighted. While speaking at the recent Dragon Con event, Chloe Bennet, who was one of the main cast members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first TV show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,criticized both the general lack of acknowledgment of the series made by later Marvel projects and the specific exclusion of her character, hacktivist turned spy and superhero Daisy Johnson/Quake, from Secret Invasion, despite said character playing a role in the series’ comic book source material. Bennet noted that she agreed with fans who felt Daisy should have appeared and opined that if she had done so, it may have improved the poorly received series to some extent, and it's hard for anyone who has seen both shows to disagree.
