New HBO Max movie and TV releases from April 27 to May 3, 2026, include Margot Robbie’s latest romantic drama.
Directed by Emerald Fennell, Wuthering Heights is inspired by the 1847 novel of the same name by Emily Brontë. It focuses on Heathcliff, who falls in love with a wealthy woman named Catherine Earnshaw, in 18th-century England. It opened to mixed reviews but emerged as a commercial success, grossing $241.7 million worldwide. Besides Robbie, the star cast features Jacob Elordi, Hong Chau, and Shazad Latif, among others.
Also coming to HBO Max is Despicable Me. The animated comedy film follows Gru, who ends up adopting three orphans as pawns for a heist. However, he ends up becoming emotionally attached to them over time.
