
ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive cast video for the live-action Lilo & Stitch movie, in which the cast names their favorite Disney movies to celebrate the adaptation’s streaming debut. It is now officially available for streaming on Disney+, over three months after the movie was first released in theaters.
During its theatrical run, the movie earned a worldwide gross of over $1 billion at the box office, making it the highest-grossing live-action/animated hybrid to date. Despite its commercial success, the adaptation still received mixed reviews from critics. The movie currently holds a Tomatometer rating of 72% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 214 reviews.

What are the Lilo & Stitch cast’s favorite Disney movies?
In the exclusive video, the live-action cast was asked what were their favorite Disney movies. Zach Galifianakis and Billy Magnussen both agreed that 2008’s WALL-E is the “perfect” movie due to its timely message. Meanwhile, lead stars Maia Kealoha and Sydney Agudong shared different answers, with Kealoha revealing that 2016’s Moana was her favorite because it somehow reminds her of Lilo & Stitch.
Agudong also revealed that she loved watching 2010’s Tangled and 1998’s Mulan. As for Courtney B. Vance, the acclaimed actor revealed that he’s actually a fan of Tangled, 1992’s Aladdin, and 1999’s Tarzan. Meanwhile, original Nani voice actor Tia Carrere mentioned 1989’s The Little Mermaid as her all-time favorite Disney movie since she loves singing Ariel and Ursula’s songs.

The live-action movie was directed by Dean Fleischer Camp from a screenplay written by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes. The ensemble cast includes Chris Sanders as the voice of Stitch, Galifianakis as Dr. Jumba, Kealoha as Lilo Pelekai, Magnussen as the voice of Pleakley, Agudong as Nani, Vance as Cobra Bubbles, Kaipo Dudoit as David, Amy Hill as Tūtū, Carrere as Mrs. Kekoa, and Jason Scott Lee. Following its box office success, the studio confirmed that a follow-up sequel is now in development, with Sanders attached to pen the screenplay.
