Only a few weeks after the Prime Video streaming charts witnessed the surprising success of a poorly received War of the Worlds re-imagining, and the Paramount+ charts saw the unexpected success of a movie that doesn't even have an official Rotten Tomatoes score, a similarly low-key title is achieving major attention on HBO Max. According to FlixPatrol, the number two movie on HBO's global charts on September 3 was the Mexican shark thriller The Black Demon. The only movie ahead of it on the leader board was the longtime champion Final Destination Bloodlines, which made nearly $300 million worldwide during its box office run earlier this year.
