James Gunn’s rebooted DC Universe began proper with the release of Superman last year. That movie introduced Gunn’s version of DC’s defining hero, and presented a fully realized DC universe in dazzling fashion on the big screen. But Superman wasn’t technically the first project to come out of Gunn’s DCU. Peacemaker’s first season was retrofitted into the new universe, and Creature Commandos debuted on HBO Max more than six months before David Corenswet’s Man of Steel flew into cinemas.
