ICE operations to surge, federal troops could be deployed to Chicago by later this week
CHICAGO — A surge in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations and the deployment of National Guard troops to Chicago could happen as soon as later this week. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Gov. JB Pritzker both appeared in separate interviews on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” over Labor Day weekend.
