Brandon Claybon and Clifton Davis teased details around the CBS crossover with Beyond the Gates and The Young and the Restless. This happens when a few Genoa City residents attend a high-profile fundraiser for Martin’s political campaign in the Maryland suburbs.

In a conversation with PEOPLE, Claybon, who plays Martin Richardson, revealed what fans could expect from this unexpected soap opera crossover. Teasing that a lot of drama is coming the Dupree family’s way, he added, “There’s going to be some chaos. I can tell you that. But, it’s going to be so fun.”

Davis, who plays Vernon Dupree, agreed with Claybon’s sentiments before calling the multi-episode event “good TV.” He also expressed his gratitude for getting to be a part of this event. He shared his excitement to witness the great performances from the cast of The Young and the Restless, too. The 80-year-old actor said that they all came to their set and they all had a good time together.

Sharing their experience of working with the Y&R cast, Claybon added, “We were so excited for The Young and the Restless cast to come, and they were just so nice and so sweet. It was so nice meeting with them, so nice working with them and hearing their stories throughout the years, so it was great.” Moreover, he revealed that he was surprised when he learnt how many Y&R characters were coming in for the crossover. This made him wonder what the storyline would be.

“A shocking event occurs, abruptly derailing the fundraiser and triggering dramatic consequences that will impact every guest in attendance,” the official logline for the crossover episodes reads.
