Book clubs are everywhere right now, and we love to see it. Yes, there are the celebrity and daytime show ones, but also niche ones, and clever ones, and fun ones—there’s pretty much a book club for every reading taste. All the ones listed below offer remote ways of connecting and generally have a chat with the author or end with a discussion. So, this summer, make sure you set aside plenty of reading time: there are a bunch of great books selected for June.
Want to read a controversial book? Maybe feminine rage is your current mood. Does a pact with the devil and a donut shop sound interesting? There’s also a haunting novel, a summer romance, a generational novel about a Jamaican family, a mystery that opens with you knowing someone—but not who—will die at the end, and many more books to choose from! Scroll away and find your next read.
