Some thrillers are built for a second life. Theaters ask them to feel like an event, which can be brutal for a grim, mid-budget serial-killer story that sells mood, dread, and recognizable faces more than spectacle. Streaming, however, plays by different rules, and the same thing is happening for a Henry Cavill movie that bombed at the box office. The film raked in only $900k worldwide, which is the kind of gross that usually erases a title from the conversation almost immediately.
