There is some understandable skepticism about HBO's upcoming Harry Potterseries. It is rebooting beloved films that are not yet all that old, and there is the controversy that constantly surrounds author J. K. Rowling. However, the biggest argument in the series' favor is its ability to include the many things the films cut. Season 1 is confirmed to have eight hours of content to tell the story of Harry's (Dominic McLaughlin) first year at Hogwarts, which is massive compared to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's two hours and 37 minutes. Though the films did an admirable job of adapting the story, HBO can bring to life parts that had to be trimmed, and the series has already promised a big one.
