When HBO’s Mare of Easttownfirst aired, it became a near instant success. Kate Winslet’s perfect performance of a Delaware County detective drew viewers in each week and helped develop a dedicated fan base. People craved the mystery, performance, and it was pretty clear that HBO had just created yet another prestige crime drama that was destined to linger in viewers' minds. And while a lot of crime shows lose their appeal once you know who committed the crime, Mare of Easttown is the kind of show that’s as good or even better once you know who the killer is.
