Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer's Tombstone is widely regarded as one of the best Western movies ever made, and HBO basically made the television version of it that ran for 36 episodes and movie. Tombstone is a classic for a reason. It has one of the most star-studded casts in Western history giving some of the best performances of their careers, like Val Kilmer. It has a great plot, great action, gorgeous cinematography, and it's all a remarkably faithful retelling of a true moment in American history.
