Warner Bros. Pictures closed out its CinemaCon presentation this evening, announcing a slew of release dates for various movies in 2027 and 2028.

The list of new additions includes:
April 9th 2027: “The Revenge of La Llorona”
June 25th 2027: “Ocean’s” Prequel
April 7th 2028: “Evil Dead Wrath”
May 12th 2028: “Final Destination 7”
August 11th 2028: “The Flood”
September 8th 2028: “Gladys”
November 22nd 2028: Untitled Baz Luhrmnan/Joan of Arc Film

The biggest surprise inclusion here is “The Flood” and how it’s just a few weeks before “Gladys,” both projects that “Weapons” helmer Zach Cregger are attached to direct.

“The Flood” follows a deep-space exploration team who pick up a strange, recurring signal from a remote planet and investigate – only to discover a bizarre alien artifact that starts warping reality.

At last report, the project was originally set up at Netflix, which had been trying to court Cregger to direct. He wouldn’t do it unless a theatrical release was guaranteed.

That it has now ended up on a Warner Bros. theatrical slate is… interesting. THR confirms the title is being backed by New Line Cinema, Vertigo Entertainment and Amblin Entertainment who will all produce.

“Gladys” is of course the “Weapons” prequel spin-off focusing on Oscar winner Amy Madigan’s turn as Aunt Gladys in that film. Which of the two projects will be the one Cregger shoots next is unclear.
