General Hospital’s Head Writers & Kelly Thiebaud on if Brad Is Returning After Britt

General Hospital head writers and Kelly Thiebaud, who plays Britt, tease whether Brad will return to the ongoing storyline. Introduced in 2013, the character is played by Parry Shen. Brad was a former GH employee and Britt Westbourne’s best friend. He left the show in May 2025, submitting his resignation and hoping for a fresh start outside of Port Charles. Head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten discussed the possibility of Brad’s return in a recent interview. Britt faking her death didn’t sit well with many of her close ones, and her return wasn’t warmly received either. In such a situation, she could use the emotional support and companionship of her best friend. However, Korte and Van Etten remain skeptical about whether Brad would be able to provide that support after learning she faked her demise.

Speaking with the Soap Opera Digest, the writer said, “She’ll need a shoulder to lean on and a partner in crime. Hard to say if that will be Brad… he really went through it when she ‘died.’ Would you forgive your bestie for faking her death?”

Thiebaud, however, remained open to the idea of Brad’s return. She said, “I can’t see why they wouldn’t bring him back!” Appreciating the special friendship between Britt and Brad, she added, “I mean, that was such a fun relationship that everybody loved, and it was completely different than the other friendships on the show. I think it’s much needed — and I also think Brad has his own story there, too, you know? It’s not just to come back as my bestie.” Alluding to the possibility of Brad’s return, she noted, “I really don’t see a world where that wouldn’t happen!”

Given the latest comments, there’s still room to add Brad back into Britt’s current storyline.
