Taylor Sheridan has locked down the neo-Western genre in the last few years thanks to his work with Yellowstone and all of its subsequent spin-offs. While not directly connected to Yellowstone, one of the most popular Sheridan-produced series to emerge in the last few years is Tulsa King, the hit crime thriller starring Sylvester Stallone and Garrett Hedlund. Tulsa King has three strong seasons under its belt, and although Stallone is nearly 80 years old, he’s showing no signs of hanging up his boots as The General anytime soon. When any show comes around that finds as much success as Tulsa King has in the last few years, it’s only natural that other streaming services are going to begin looking for an alternative with some of the same DNA.
