Forgotten X-Men Actor Still Wants To Be Back in Marvel Reboot

Marvel’s future plans for the X-Men are starting to take shape, and one former cast member is already making their pitch. The actor has shared that they are ready to return if the studio reboots the mutant franchise.

Lana Condor wants Jubilee to get her due in X-Men

Lana Condor hasn’t been shy about her hopes of stepping back into the role of Jubilee. The actress revealed she’s been pushing for a comeback ever since X-Men: Apocalypse hit theaters. “I have been on this crusade to try and have them bring me back,” she said in an interview with Parade, explaining how strongly she feels about the character.

She also admitted her first experience on a film set came with that role, making it even more personal. Condor described how new she was at the time, saying she didn’t even understand how productions worked and was simply excited to be part of it. “I had never stepped foot on set. So, I didn’t know that world, and I was just so happy to be there. Honestly, any screen time that I got, I was like, ‘I can’t believe this is happening.”

Looking ahead, there are real chances for characters like Jubilee to return. Marvel’s expanding multiverse, especially after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, allows older versions of characters to exist again in new timelines. On top of that, reports suggest the studio could fully reset the X-Men story after Avengers: Secret Wars, opening the door for fresh casting or even returning faces.

Condor believes Jubilee still has plenty of untapped potential. She pointed out that the comics offer “so many places to go” with the character and said she would “love” another chance to explore that. Her comments reflect a wider fan sentiment that Jubilee never got the spotlight she deserved on the big screen.

Since her Marvel debut, Condor’s career has grown significantly. She became widely known through Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before films and has continued to take on leading roles across film and television.
