It's almost impossible to believe what's happening on Prime Video. Defying all logic and conventional wisdom — and especially the reputation that Prime Video has cultivated as a destination for older male viewers — a college-set romance series is consistently outperforming two shows that wouldn't have even considered it competition two months ago. The first is The Boys, which aired its final season recently and found itself having to fend off competition from the romance series. The pushback was inherited by Spider-Noir, which was expected to pick up from where The Boys left off and ensure no drop-offs for Prime Video. However, the romance series in question has exceeded all expectations, likely appealing to the same demographic that has made Obsession such a theatrical sensation.
